Who we are and what we do:

East Galway Youth project works with young people from the ages of 10 to 18 who live and/or go to school in Ballinasloe and surrounding area.

Our aim:

To support the needs of young people through an enjoyable educational experience in a safe, positive, supervised environment.

To run activities that allow young people to socialise with peers in a safe and supportive environment.

To empower young people to identify and realise their own potential.

Our activities:

Well-being group

In-school anti-bullying and positive peer relationship programmes

After-school services through the medium of arts

Development education programme

Providing support to young people in transition

from primary to secondary school programmes

One-to-one support programme in national and secondary schools

Comhairle ‘Get Lippy’ youth democracy group

Self-defence workshops

Crafty Crew group for 10-12 year olds

Youth Counselling Services available in Ballinasloe for young people 14-21 years of age.
