Who we are and what we do:
YIC Ballinasloe works with young people from the ages of 12 to 25 who live and/or go to school in the Ballinasloe area, and online to those further away.
We provide accurate, up to date information for young people and adults in their lives – parents, community leaders, youth clubs, and teachers. In addition to the Ballinasloe Youth Information Centre, which has a drop-in facility, information is also circulated through workshops, publications, talks, individual sessions, the Web, and the Facebook page.
YIC Ballinasloe have a number of aims, all focused around young people and their development. The aims are:
To deliver an accurate and relevant information service to young people and those who support them.
To run activities for young people thats allow them to socialise with peers in a safe and supportive environment.
To help young people to develop their skills and abilities, avail of services and opportunities and solve problems.
